Tomato Patch Chicken Rice Soup

2 c. low-sodium chicken broth | ||
2 c. water | ||
1 ¾ c. (one 16 oz can) chunky tomato sauce | ||
1 c. uncooked instant rice | ||
1 tsp. dried parsley flakes | ||
¼ tsp. black pepper |
Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine chicken breast, chicken broth, water, and tomato sauce. Bring mixture to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in rice, parsley flakes, and black pepper.
- Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir again just before serving.
