½ c. Hy-Vee creamy white frosting, divided | ||
16 drops Hy-Vee red food coloring | ||
4 to 8 drops Wilton orange food coloring gel |
Things To Grab
- Small offset spatula or knife
- Small silicone spatula
- 2 small bowls
- Spoon
- 2 small disposable pastry bags
- Scissors
- Large disposable pastry bag
- Medium round-shape piping tip
Directions
Stir together ¼ cup white frosting and red food coloring in a small bowl; set aside. Stir together remaining ¼ cup white frosting and enough orange food coloring gel to tint to a desired orange color in another small bowl; set aside
Spoon each frosting into a separate disposable small pastry bag; snip tips off of each bag. Place the two bags side-by-side inside a larger pastry bag fitted with a medium round-shape piping tip.
Pipe frostings in a swirl pattern on top cupcakes, applying even pressure to both smaller pastry bags in larger pastry bag.
