Hy-Vee’s Digital Coupons Program
Q: How can I participate in Hy-Vee’s digital coupons program?
A: To participate in Hy-Vee’s digital coupons program, customers need an activated Hy-Vee PERKS® card and a My Hy-Vee online account. Customers who don’t have a Hy-Vee PERKS® card can pick up an application at their local Hy-Vee store and visit www.hy-vee.com/perks to activate their new card. Customers can register for a My Hy-Vee online account at www.Hy-Vee.com by clicking the “Log In” button at the top of the page and following the instructions to sign up for a new account. Once you have an activated Hy-Vee PERKS® card and a My Hy-Vee online account, you are ready to participate in Hy-Vee’s digital coupons program.
Q: What are digital coupons?
A: Digital coupons are electronic coupons that are found online. They are the same as paper coupons, only without the paper. Customers can select the coupons they’re interested in, save them to their Hy-Vee PERKS® card and redeem them at checkout.
Q: Where can I find digital coupons?
A: There are several ways to find digital coupons for your Hy-Vee PERKS® card. You can sign into your My Hy-Vee online account, visit www.hy-vee.com/deals/coupons.aspx, or download the Hy-Vee mobile app. We also send emails containing digital coupons to our Hy-Vee PERKS® card holders.
Q: How much does it cost to participate in Hy-Vee’s digital coupons program?
A: There is no charge to participate in the program or to use the digital coupons.
Clipping Digital Coupons
Q: How do I “clip” a digital coupon to save to my Hy-Vee PERKS® card?
A: To clip a digital coupon to save to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card, simply click the “Load” button located on the digital coupon in your My Hy-Vee online account, click the plus sign on the digital coupon in your Hy-Vee mobile app, or click the “Load Coupon” button located on the digital coupon in the email that you received from Hy-Vee and the digital coupon will automatically be saved to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card.
Q: How do I know if a digital coupon has been saved to my Hy-Vee PERKS® card?
A: You can view the digital coupons saved to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card by navigating to the “Loaded Coupons” tab in your My Hy-Vee online account or navigating to the List feature in your Hy-Vee mobile app.
Q: How quickly are digital coupons available for use after I clip them?
A: Digital coupons are available for use the moment they are clipped.
Q: Can I clip a digital coupon multiple times?
A: No, each digital coupon may only be clipped once.
Q: Why do some coupons on the Hy-Vee deals site disappear from the site after I log into my My Hy-Vee online account?
A: Digital coupons may only be clipped and redeemed once, so once you clip a digital coupon and redeem it in the store, it is no longer available to you. If you are not logged in at the time you visit the Hy-Vee deals site, you will see all available offers. When you sign in, the Hy-Vee deals site recognizes your Hy-Vee PERKSs® card and displays only those offers that you have not yet clipped or redeemed.
Q: I recently saw a coupon on the Hy-Vee deals site or in an email from Hy-Vee and now it’s no longer available. Where did it go?
A: Often times manufacturers supply us with a limited number of a specific digital coupon for our customers, which is known as a clip limit. Once the clip limit has been reached, the digital coupon becomes unavailable and unclippable for our customers, is removed from the Hy-Vee deals site and the Hy-Vee mobile app, and returns an error message if clipped from a Hy-Vee email .
Q: Is there a limit to the number of digital coupons that I can clip and save to my Hy-Vee PERKS® card?
A: Once clipped, digital coupons stay on your Hy-Vee PERKS® card until they are redeemed or expire. At this time, there is no limit to the number of digital coupons you can clip and save to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card.
Q: How do I know when digital coupons expire?
A: The expiration date is displayed on each digital coupon. You can also navigate to the “Expired Coupons” tab in your My Hy-Vee online account for a list of clipped coupons that have recently expired.
Q: How can I see new digital coupons in my My Hy-Vee online account, and how often are new digital coupons provided?
A: You can view new digital coupons by selecting “New Coupons First” in the “Sort by” box above the list of digital coupons on the Hy-Vee deals site. The newest coupons will appear at the top of the page. New coupons can be added at any time, so check back often.
Q: How do I remove digital coupons from my Hy-Vee PERKS® card?
A: Digital coupons you’ve saved to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card stay on your card until they are redeemed or expire and cannot be otherwise removed.
Redeeming Digital Coupons
Q: Do customers need to print digital coupons?
A: No. Digital coupons are paperless and are redeemed automatically when a customer’s Hy-Vee PERKS® card is swiped at checkout.
Q: Can I print a list of digital coupons that are saved to my Hy-Vee PERKS® card?
A: For a printable list of coupons, navigate to the “Loaded Coupons” tab in your My Hy-Vee online account and select “Print Loaded Coupons”. Print your list and take it with you as a reminder of which coupons are saved to your card. If you forget your list, you can access it by navigating to the List feature in your Hy-Vee mobile app.
Q: How does a customer redeem digital coupons?
A: Digital coupons saved to a Hy-Vee PERKS® card are automatically applied to the order when your Hy-Vee PERKS® card is swiped and the cashier hits the ‘total’ key at checkout. The items purchased must match the digital coupon requirements.
Q: What if customers don’t have their Hy-Vee PERKS® cards with them when they come to the store?
A: You can key in the phone number linked to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card. Credit will be applied as it normally would to any item purchased that matches the clipped digital coupons saved to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card.
Q: Can I redeem a digital coupon on multiple purchases?
A: No. Each digital coupon is valid for a single, one-time purchase only.
Q: Can I use a digital coupon and a paper coupon for the same item?
A: Yes. Digital coupons can be combined with paper coupons on the purchase of the same item. The combined values of the coupons cannot be redeemed for more than the purchase price of the item, and we do not give cash back or apply additional credit to your purchase.
Q: How do I know a digital coupon has been applied to my purchase?
A: Digital coupons are triggered when the cashier presses the total key on the cash register, so you can review your savings on the checkout screen at that time. Your savings will also be itemized on your receipt.
Q: Are all items with digital coupons available at all Hy-Vee stores?
A: Each Hy-Vee store carries a wide range of items, but not all items are available at all stores.
Q: If I return an item for which a digital coupon was applied, can I use that same digital coupon the next time I shop?
A: Once a digital coupon has been used, it cannot be used again.
Q: If my transaction is voided after a digital coupon is applied, will the digital coupon still be available for me to use the next time I shop?
A: Yes. As long as the transaction has not been finalized, you can use the digital coupon in a future shopping trip.
Q: Can I redeem digital coupons when making a purchase through Hy-Vee aisles online®?
A: Yes. You may use digital coupons that you have clipped and saved to your Hy-Vee PERKSs® card for Hy-Vee aisles online® purchases.
