Reach for a bakery-fresh store-bought pie from Hy-Vee and let your creativity run wild — these easy holiday dessert ideas will save you time and give you maximum flavor with minimal effort.
Caramelicious Pecan Pie
Caramel-Pecan Sauce:
Combine 3/4 c. packed Hy-Vee light brown sugar, 1/2 c. Hy-Vee salted butter, 1/2 c. Hy-Vee heavy whipping cream and 1/4 c. Hy-Vee light corn syrup in a heavy 2-qt. saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted. Reduce heat to medium. Gently boil for 5 minutes (do not stir). Remove from heat. Stir in 1/3 c. Hy-Vee toasted chopped pecans. Cool for 30 minutes.
Cinnamon-Sugar Pie Crust Leaves:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside. Roll out one Hy-Vee ready-to-bake nine-inch pie crust into a 12-in. round. Cut into desired leaf shapes using 2-in. cookie cutters or stencils. Place pastry leaves in a single layer on prepared baking sheet; set aside. Lightly brush cutouts with milk; sprinkle with Skinny Sticks cinnamon spiced maple sugar.
Assemble:
Remove Hy-Vee gourmet southern pecan pie from plastic packaging and place in ceramic pie dish. Arrange cooled Cinnamon-Sugar Pie Crust leaves in center of pie and drizzle Caramel-Pecan Sauce over leaves. Slice and serve with It’s Your Churn premium vanilla bean ice cream, if desired.
Pumpkin Pie
Remove Hy-Vee gourmet pumpkin pie from plastic packaging and place in ceramic pie dish. Print off this pumpkin stencil and cut out the shape with an exact knife. Place stencil on top of pumpkin pie and sift Hy-Vee powdered sugar on pie over stencil. Remove stencil to reveal the powdered sugar design.
French Silk Sunflower Crunch Pie
Remove Hy-Vee gourmet French silk pie from plastic packaging and place in ceramic pie dish. Sprinkle Hy-Vee roasted and salted sunflower kernels, Bare Baked crunchy toasted coconut chips and fresh pomegranate arils on top of pie.
Maple Cream and Cheddar Apple Pie
Combine 1 c. Hy-Vee heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select 100% pure maple syrup and 1/2 tsp. Hy-Vee pure vanilla extract in a chilled medium mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium until soft peaks form (tips curl). Serve on Hy-Vee gourmet apple pie with wedges of Cheddar cheese. Sprinkle with Hy-Vee ground cinnamon, if desired.
Tropical Lemon Meringue Pie
Remove Hy-Vee gourmet lemon meringue pie from plastic packaging and place in ceramic pie dish. Peel and slice fresh kiwi and mango and place on top of pie. Sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes.
