Fa-la-la-la Florals
Hy-Vee Floral artists are ready to make things merry with gorgeous blooms and bouquets. Pick up one of these fabulous, fragrant arrangements this season. Winter’s Wonder combines white lilies, pine cones, and small and large white roses. Holly Jolly has red hypericum berries, alstroemeria lilies, evergreen stems, and white snapdragons. Celebrate does just that with lilies, hydrangea, roses, and snapdragons. Alpine Snowblends succulents, evergreen sprigs, white roses, and snapdragons – all accented with a gray-and-white-checked ribbon. Order your holiday bouquet today!
Wreaths
Make a wreath guests will get hung up on. Start with a real or faux evergreen wreath and try one of these twists on tradition. Go beyond red and green with some rainbow-colored ornaments. Add clusters of dried citrus fruit slices and cinnamon sticks for a more fragrant display. Make it sophisticated with small, gold spray-painted, star cookie cutters. Tie on bunches of dried florals in various colors to display all winter long.
Eucalyptus Garland
You don’t need evergreen everywhere. Switch things up with a fresh eucalyptus garland. Keep away from direct light and heat sources.
Individual Centerpieces
Arrange trimmed evergreen branches and juniper berries in small white vases from Hy-Vee. Every spot is special at your holiday table!
Craft Paper Gingerbread Village
Nestle this neighborhood on your mantle. Cut house shapes from 1/2-inch-thick foam core, cover with brown craft paper, and draw on details in pencil. Outline details with white dimensional paint and let dry. Stand houses up with a foam core easel.
Tree Tea Towels
Oh, Tannenbaum! Pour dark green acrylic paint on a paper plate. Dip Christmas-tree-shaped cookie cutters in the paint and stamp them on a solid white tea towel. Repeat in a pattern. For variation, fill in trees using a paintbrush or make ornaments with the tip of a pencil.
Evergreen Bouquet
Evergreen to ever great! Take a fresh evergreen bouquet from Hy-Vee, and add leaves of magnolia or balsam for shape and color.
Wreath Napkin Rings
Scents of the season. Tie a single rosemary sprig around a white cloth napkin using twine. Place at each setting for a fresh, fragrant welcome to the table.
Paper Stars
Star light. Star bright. Using fishing wire, string together a group of purchased or DIY paper stars in gold, silver or white. Hang them high to create a starry “sky.”
