1 lbs. ground beef | ||
½ c. chopped onion | ||
1 (26 oz) jar Hy-Vee traditional spaghetti sauce | ||
1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee chili beans, undrained | ||
½ tsp. garlic powder | ||
¼ tsp. ground cayenne pepper | ||
1 (12 oz) pkg Hy-Vee spaghetti | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee shredded Hy-Vee cheddar cheese, optional |
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, brown meat. Drain.
- Add onion. Cook 5 minutes or until tender.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce, beans, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Reduce heat. Simmer 10 minutes or until meat is thoroughly cooked.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain.
- Toss together hot spaghetti and 1/2 the sauce. Spoon remaining sauce over top. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
