Creamy Cheddar Fondue

1 c. dry white wine | ||
1 (16 oz) pkg Hy-Vee shredded Cheddar cheese | ||
1 (8 oz) pkg Hy-Vee cream cheese | ||
¼ c. chopped green onions | ||
1 (4 oz) can Hy-Vee green chilies | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee frozen chopped spinach, thawed | ||
2 c. cauliflower flowerets | ||
2 c. broccoli flowerets | ||
2 c. jicama sticks |
Directions
- In a large saucepan, heat wine over medium heat until small bubbles rise to the surface. Reduce heat to low, and gradually stir in shredded cheese and cream cheese. Stir until the mixture bubbles gently.
- Stir in green onions, chilies and chopped spinach.
- Transfer to a fondue pot. Keep mixture bubbling gently over the fondue burner.
- Serve with cauliflower, broccoli and jicama, if desired.
