Honey Raisin and Pecan French Toast

4 Hy-Vee large eggs | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee skim milk | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon | ||
4 (1-inch-thick) slices Hy-Vee Baking Stone raisin pecan bread | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee unsalted butter | ||
Hy-Vee powdered sugar, Hy-Vee Select maple syrup and fresh raspberries and blueberries, for serving |
Directions
- Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl or pie plate. Add bread slices and let stand about 1 minute on each side.
- Melt butter in a large non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Cook bread slices on each side until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
- To serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar, drizzle with maple syrup and garnish with fresh berries, if desired.
