Hy-Vee Announces Opening Day for Wahlburgers in West Des Moines

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (Aug. 15, 2018) — Hy-Vee, Inc. announced today that it will open its second Wahlburgers franchise location in West Des Moines, Iowa, on Sept. 11, 2018.
The approximately 7,100-square-foot Wahlburgers will be located at 7105 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines, near Jordan Creek Mall and other area shopping and attractions. The restaurant will offer a unique dining experience featuring signature burgers, home-style sides, housemade condiments, fish, chicken and vegetarian options, and a full bar including specialty drinks such as adult frappes and floats.
“Hy-Vee is excited to open a Wahlburgers restaurant in West Des Moines, which is where Hy-Vee’s corporate headquarters is located,” said Brett Bremser, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Hy-Vee. “With the opening on September 11, a national day of remembrance, we plan to host local first responders as some of our first guests.”
Details regarding special events that will occur on the restaurant’s opening day will be released in the upcoming weeks. An official grand opening with an appearance by the Wahlberg brothers – Mark, Donnie and Paul – will also be announced at a later date.

Chef Paul Wahlberg created the Wahlburgers franchise, along with brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, for friends and family to come together over delicious chef-inspired dishes served up in a casual, music-filled atmosphere. Last year, Hy-Vee announced that it plans to build, own and operate 26 Wahlburgers restaurants.
