Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The CDC recommends talking to your healthcare provider or pharmacist to make sure you are up to date with routine and recommended vaccines before international travel to decrease risk of acquiring and spreading diseases that are rare in the U.S.

Hy-Vee Pharmacy

Our Hy-Vee Pharmacy can provide a detailed consultation with a licensed pharmacist to make recommendations for you and your family depending on where you are traveling. We can put together a plan for making sure you are vaccinated with all required and recommended vaccinations. We also make recommendations for your doctor on what preventative medications you may need for your trip, such as anti-malaria and travel diarrhea medications. With a prescription from your provider, we can fill those medications for you during the same visit that we administer your vaccinations.

Travel Vaccines

All vaccines should be done 10 -14 days before traveling internationally. All vaccinations will be uploaded on the Nebraska Immunization Registry, and we can send documentation to your provider at your request.

Insurance & Cost

We will bill your insurance for all vaccinations and medications. Not all vaccines and medications are covered by insurance. We will verify pricing with you at your consultation. Consultation fees: $99 per person.

Learn More

We can also consult with your provider about prescriptions for recommended preventative travel medications. Call 402-334-4922 or stop by the pharmacy to learn more and schedule a consultation.
