    ¾ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    ¾ c. Hy-Vee packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract
    2 Hy-Vee large eggs
    2 ¼ c. Hy-Vee flour
    ¾ c. Hy-Vee baking cocoa
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee baking soda
    ½ tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    1 (10-oz.) pkg Hy-Vee peanut butter chips

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy. Beat in vanilla and eggs.

    3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter chips and nuts, if desired.
    4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    5. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly cracked.
