1 (14.5 oz) package Hy-Vee ALA omega-3 penne pasta | ||
2 (6 oz each) cans tuna in olive oil, drained, liquid reserved | ||
6 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped | ||
½ pt. small cherry or grape tomatoes, coarsely chopped | ||
Coarse salt and black pepper | ||
⅓ c. chopped flat-leaf parsley | ||
20 leaves fresh basil leaves, shredded | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee grated Parmesan cheese |
Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Heat a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add reserved liquid from tuna and garlic to the pan; cook 1 minute. Stir in tuna. Let the tuna sit in the oil 5 to 10 minutes.
- Increase heat to medium-high; add tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Heat the tomatoes through, 2 minutes. Stir in pasta, parsley, basil and cheese.
