    6 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced into eighths
    1/4 to 1/2 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    ½ c. Hy-Vee plain bread crumbs
    ½ c. uncooked Hy-Vee quick oats
    2 tsp. apple pie spice
    ¾ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
    ½ c. Hy-Vee margarine, melted
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee chopped walnuts

    Directions

    1. Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray. Stir together apples and granulated sugar. Pour into slow cooker.
    2. Stir together bread crumbs, oats, spice, brown sugar, margarine and walnuts. Spoon mixture evenly over apples.
    3. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH for 2 hours or until done.
