Ingredients
Serves 20
QuantityIngredientAdd
1 (16.5-oz.) tube Crav’n Flavor refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 ½ c. white vanilla-flavor melting wafers
Desired Wilton food coloring gels, for decorating

Things To Grab

  • Wire rack
  • Large rimmed baking pan
  • 2½-in. silicone butterfly and/or flower cupcake molds
  • Parchment paper
  • Medium microwave-safe bowl
  • Small silicone spatula
  • Small food-safe decorating brush
  • Small tray

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a wire rack in a large rimmed baking pan or cookie sheet; set aside.

  2. For each cookie, break ¾ oz. (about 3½ tsp.) cookie dough into small pieces; press pieces firmly into a 2½-in. silicone butterfly and/or flower cupcake mold, making sure the cookie dough is even in the mold and there are no gaps.

  3. Place silicon molds on rack in baking pan. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until tops appear dry and just begin to turn golden. Cool cookies in molds on a wire rack for 10 minutes.

  4. Carefully, loosen edges of molds from cookies. Invert molds on a sheet of parchment paper and gently remove cookies from molds; cool completely.

  5. Meanwhile, microwave melting wafers in a medium microwave-safe bowl on HIGH at 15-second intervals or until melted, stirring each time.

  6. Wash and dry silicone molds. Spoon about 1½ tsp. melted coating into each of 3 cupcake molds in silicon pan*. Tilt and rotate pan slightly to evenly coat bottoms of cupcake molds with melted coating. Use a small food-safe decorating brush to push coating to edges and into corners in molds. Gently press a cookie into each mold containing coating. Place filled molds on a tray and freeze for 10 to 12 minutes or until firmly set.

  7. Carefully, loosen edges of molds from coated cookies. Invert molds on a sheet of parchment paper and gently remove coated cookies from molds.

  8. Decorate with coloring gels.

*TIP: To keep the melted coating warm while filling the molds, fill a saucepan with 2 in. of water; bring to a boil. Nest the bowl of coating on the top of the saucepan, without touching the water.
