10 slice(s) Hy-Vee wheat bread, cubed (keep cubes from 3 slices separate from rest) | ||
½ lbs. Velveeta cheese, grated | ||
2 c. cubed ham | ||
10 Hy-Vee large eggs | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee dry mustard | ||
2 ½ c. Hy-Vee skim milk | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee margarine, melted | ||
1 c. chopped mushrooms, optional | ||
1 c. chopped onions, optional | ||
½ c. chopped green bell pepper, optional |
Directions
- Prepare the night before. Grease a 9-by-13-inch pan.
- Place cubed bread from 7 bread slices, cheese, ham and optional ingredients in pan.
- Beat eggs, salt, dry mustard and milk. Pour over ingredients in pan.
- Pour margarine over eggs. Top with remaining bread.
- Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
