1 tbsp. Hy-Vee unsalted butter | ||
1 tsp. minced onion | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee flour | ||

⅔ c. Hy-Vee skim milk | ||
½ c. cubed Hy-Vee Smooth 'N' Cheesy cheese spread |
Directions
- Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.mixture begins to bubble around the edges.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add onion and sauté until softened and light golden, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in flour, pepper and mustard and heat until just bubbly. Add milk and whisk frequently until mixture thickens and begins to bubble. Add cheese spread, stirring until melted. Stir in cooked macaroni and serve.
