¾ c. flour
¾ c. chopped nuts, plus additional for garnish
¾ c. margarine
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
2 c. thawed Cool Whip, plus additional for garnish
3 packet(s) instant chocolate pudding
3 c. milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Stir together flour and 3/4 cup chopped nuts in bowl. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until crumbly. Press into a 9-by-13-inch cake pan.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
  4. Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread onto cooled crust.
  5. Whisk together pudding and milk. Pour over cream cheese mixture.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve. If desired, garnish with additional Cool Whip and chopped nuts at serving time. Refrigerate leftovers.
