Directions
Whisk together egg yolks and granulated sugar in a large bowl until thoroughly combined. Add vanilla and rum, mix until combined, with a spatula, gently fold in egg white mixture; cover and keep refrigerated until ready.
For drink, bring water to a boil in an electric tea kettle or saucepan. Add boiling water to a 6-oz. mug until mug is warmed; discard water.
For each serving, stir together 2-oz. prepared Tom and Jerry batter, rum and cognac in warmed mug. Top with hot milk. Garnish with nutmeg, if desired.
