    7 ½ c. uncooked Hy-Vee old-fashioned oats
    1 c. wheat germ
    1 c. Hy-Vee flake coconut
    1 (6 oz) pkg Hy-Vee dried apricots, chopped
    ½ c. Hy-Vee almond slivers
    ½ c. Hy-Vee margarine, melted
    ½ c. Hy-Vee honey
    ¼ c. coconut extract

    Directions

    1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together oats, wheat germ, coconut, apricots and almonds.
    2. Add melted margarine, honey and coconut extract to oat mixture and stir well.
    3. Place granola in a greased roasting pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
    4. Stir granola every 10 minutes.
    5. Cool and store in an airtight container.
    6. Serve granola with low-fat yogurt, fresh fruit or skim milk.
