1 (22 oz) pkg frozen mashed potatoes | ||

1 (10 oz) pkg frozen mixed vegetables | ||
1 lbs. ground beef, ground raw turkey or ground raw chicken | ||
¼ c. water | ||
1 tsp. dried minced onion | ||
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed tomato soup or reduced-sodium condensed tomato soup | ||
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce | ||
¼ tsp. crushed dried thyme | ||
½ c. shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions
- Prepare potatoes according to package directions using 4 cups of the frozen potatoes and the milk. Meanwhile, run cold water over frozen mixed vegetables to separate. In a large skillet cook ground beef, turkey or chicken over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain off any fat.
- Stir in vegetables, water and onion. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in soup, Worcestershire sauce and thyme. Return to boiling. Drop potatoes in mounds on top of the hot mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 5 minutes more or until heated through.
