1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select olive oil | ||
Hy-Vee salt and Hy-Vee pepper, to taste | ||
4 (6 oz each) boneless pork loin chops, pounded thinly | ||
1 large onion, sliced | ||
1 (14.5 oz) can Hy-Vee Italian diced tomatoes, undrained | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee chili powder | ||
1 tsp. Hy-Vee Worcestershire sauce | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee sugar | ||
red pepper flakes |
Directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chops with salt and pepper to taste and brown chops on both sides. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
- Add onions to skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until very soft and lightly browned, about 6 minutes. Stir in undrained tomatoes, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
- Return chops to the skillet. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
