1 ½ c. granulated sugar | ||
2 large eggs | ||
1 c. sour cream | ||
2 tsp. vanilla, divided | ||
2 ¾ c. flour | ||
½ tsp. baking soda | ||
½ tsp. baking powder | ||
½ tsp. salt | ||
½ c. butter, melted | ||
1 lbs. powdered sugar | ||
1 to 3 tbsp hot water, if desired |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Beat softened butter and granulated sugar. Beat in eggs. Beat in sour cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. When cool, frost.
- To make frosting, beat together melted butter, powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla together. Stir in 1 to 3 tablespoons hot water to reach desired consistency. Frost cooled cookies.
